Guidance News!

Registration for the 2017/2018 school year has begun!

On Thursday, February 16th at 6:00pm, PHS will be hosting a Pirate Parent Curriculum Night. Please click HERE for more information. It is imperative that parents attend the curriculum night and review all resources so that you can assist your child in making sure they are selecting the right courses.

The following week, February 20th-24th, students will select both academic and elective courses in a computer lab with their School Counselor during English classes.

Course selections will be thoroughly reviewed based on course prerequisites and student’s grades and test scores to determine appropriate placement. Please do your best to select appropriate classes so we do not have to go back and change them later if you do not qualify.

  • Please review requirements for scholar and merit designations also found in the graduation requirement flyers if pursuing those diploma designations.
  • Students planning to attend a 4 year state University must complete 2 years of a foreign language.

Students will be able to access their final course requests in March, at which time, they will have the opportunity to submit a change if necessary.
