Phone Message for 8/25/19

As we begin the 3rd week of the school year, I hope everyone is settled-in and all of their questions have been answered.  If you still have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email or call so that we can answer your questions and/or address your concerns.

Open House:This year’s Open House will be on Thursday, September 5th from 6pm to 8pm.  The event will begin in the gym.  If you are a senior parent, we will be having a senior meeting prior to Open House in the IRC at 5:15pm. If you are a Cambridge parent, we will be having a meeting prior to Open House in the cafeteria at 5:15pm.  Senior Cambridge parents will receive the Cambridge information at the conclusion of the Senior parent meeting.

Student Parking:Please remember that a parking permit is required to park on campus.  You must park in your assigned parking spot.  Also, the only time you should be in the parking lot is once you arrive at school and when you are leaving school.  The parking lot is off limits during the school day, and especially at lunch.

Front Car Loop:Please continue to follow the car-loop rules and give yourself some extra time in the mornings and afternoons.  As always, student safety is our number 1 priority.

Dress Code: At this time, the dress code has been reviewed with all of the students.  It is imperative that students make sure they are in dress code at all times.  Students with a dress code violation will be asked to change and possibly call home if necessary. If you would like further information on the dress code, please visit the district website and review the student code of conduct document.

School Pictures: School Pictures will be on Friday, August 30th.  Students will take pictures through their English class.  If your student takes an off-campus English class, they can take their pictures during their lunch.  ATTENTION SENIORS:  Gigante will be on campus October 17th from 1pm to 6pm in the IRC.  Book your appointment now!

 Sports Information: Our Varsity Football will return to LOLHS on Monday to complete the game that had to be cancelled on Friday.  The game will resume where it left off at 6pm.  You will not be asked to pay for parking or admission again.  Our Golf teams will have matches this week on Monday and Wednesday. Girls Volleyball has a home match on Tuesday starting at 6pm. Our swim team has a home meet at St. Leo on Wednesday starting at 6:30pm. JV Football will be away at WCHS on Thursday starting at 7pm. Varsity Football will have their 1st home game on Friday against SLHS starting at 7:30pm.  Cross Country will have a meet at Lecanto on Saturday starting at 7am.

Parent Volunteers: Reminder: If you are interested in being a volunteer for PHS, please make sure you have visited the Pasco County Schools website and complete the volunteer application.

PTSA: The first meeting will be on September 6th @ 6pm at the Dade City Beef O’ Brady’s.

Parent U Meeting:  The first meeting is scheduled for September 24th @ 6pm in the IRC.  The topics of discussion will be MyStudent, grade awareness, and staying on track.

ASVAB: The ASVAB will be given on Tuesday, September 24th at PHS to juniors and seniors. Please sign up in the CRC.

Yearbook: The Back to School Yearbook Sales ends on Sept 2! Save money, buy now for only $60. See Mrs. Wallace in 16-509 with cash, checks made to PHS or order online at YearbookForever.com

College Night: Mark your calendars for the annual College Fair held at PHSC. It will be Wednesday, September 11th, 6-7:30 pm at the PHSC east campus gym. Colleges from all around the state will be there.

Math Tutoring: Starting this Thursday, and every Thursday this school year, we will have Math tutoring in the upstairs of the admin building directly after school until 3pm. Ms. Klimer, our math coach, will be joined by advanced math students to provide Math help at every level of Math we offer. Please come take advantage!

Labor Day: There will be no school on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.
