We hope everyone had a great relaxing Thanksgiving Break full of fun memories with family and friends.
MyStudent Accounts:
Parents and students, we are entering the last 3 weeks of the 2nd quarter and 1st semester. Please take a few minutes and review your student’s MyStudent account for their grades and their attendance. At the end of the semester, the grades from quarter 1 and quarter 2 will be averaged and the students will earn a semester grade. The semester grade will be entered on their transcript. If at any time you have any questions, please email your student’s teacher. As always, if you would like to schedule a parent-teacher conference, please contact Mrs. Benke at 352-524-5539
Tutoring:
Weekly free tutoring is still available. If your student is in need of tutoring in any subject area, please have them talk with their teachers or an administrator.
Important Message:
Parents and Students, it is extremely important that everyone understands that ALL students must leave or be picked up immediately after school at 2pm. If your student is staying after school for tutoring, sports practice, detention, etc., they must report directly to their afterschool activity and be under adult supervision. At no time is a student allowed to “hang-out” in the parking lot or anywhere on campus. There is NO adult supervision on campus after 2:30pm and there is no safe location for students to wait for a ride. Please make sure your student has transportation immediately following the close of school.
Parent University:
We would like to personally invite ALL parents and students to the next Parent University Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 17th at 6pm in the IRC. This Parent University is going be a panel of PHS alumni students and parents available to answer all of your questions about post-secondary education. There will be a dinner provided. Please RSVP to Mrs. Enright to reserve your food.
Early Release Day:
The next scheduled early release day for the students is Wednesday, December 11th. Students will be released at 12 noon.
Toys for Tots Drive:
PHS HOSA is running the MARINES, Toys for Tots toy drive this year and is asking for your support to make this holiday shine for children who would otherwise go without. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy, for either a boy or girl to one of the drop boxes around campus or to the CNA building. HOSA thanks you for your support. The Drive runs until December 10th.
School Advisory Committee:
The next SAC meeting is Tuesday, December 17th at 8:00am in the front office.
PTSA:
The next PTSA meeting is scheduled for December 17th at 5:30pm @ PHS in the IRC prior to the Parent University.
Winter Break:
Please make note that the last two weeks prior to winter break is scheduled testing. Attendance at school is crucial to ensure that students are able to take each of their tests and ensure their grades are not affected by missing the tests.
