- Think of Family Engagement as a strategy to reach the goal of student achievement
- Offer workshops, events and/or meetings at flexible dates/times. (i.e. morning, evening, lunch, Saturdays). Provide information to parents in a timely manner and in an easy to read format.

Hearing Impaired or other languages need to notified us in advance |
| What are the barriers for parents to attend workshops/events and how do you overcome these?
|
Conflicts with work, a student’s extracurricular activities and transportation. We ask for feedback on which day and times fits the majority of people attending. |
| How are flexible dates and times for meetings, events and/or workshops offered? (Give examples)
|
Due to the busy school calendar, most meetings, such as SAC & PTSA are set for the entire year and parents are given those dates during Meet the Teacher Days so they can plan their schedules accordingly. If a parent is unable to attend, minutes are taken and shared with the parent.
Parent teacher conferences dates and times are created together. |
| How are the needs of parents with disabilities accommodated to ensure they have access to meetings, workshops, and/or events?
|
All meetings are conducted in an approved ADA location. Parents can ask in advance for any necessary accommodations. |
