MyStudent Accounts:

We are just 3 short weeks away from the end of quarter one.  Please take a few minutes and review your student’s progress thus far. It is important to check both their attendance and academic standings.  If you would like to schedule a parent/teacher conference, please call Mrs. Benke at 352-524-5539.

Tutoring:

Weekly free tutoring is available.  If your student is in need of tutoring in any subject area, please have them talk with their teachers or an administrator.

Parent U Meeting: 

The first meeting is scheduled for this week, September 24th @ 6pm in the IRC.  The topics of discussion will be MyStudent, grade awareness, and staying on track.

Girls Soccer:

There will be a girls’ soccer meeting Wednesday September 25th at 6pm in the IRC. Any girls interested in playing soccer are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Collison

Homecoming:

We are 2 weeks away from Homecoming Week.  Please check the school Twitter, Facebook, Website or newsletter for the flyer with all of the dress up days and events.

Cambridge:

The Cambridge Parent Association will have its first meeting on October 1st at 5:15pm.

PTSA:

The next PTSA meeting is scheduled for October 15th at 6pm @ Beef O’Brady’s in Dade City.

GALLUP:

Students will be taking the GALLUP survey during the week of October 7th.  Please see this week’s newsletter for more information.

Financial Aid:

Financial Aid night will be held on October 1, 2019 at 6pm in the IRC. Please join us to receive vital information on how to fill out the FASFA to receive financial assistance for college after graduation. Seniors, this is for you!

Dress Code:

It is imperative that students make sure they are in dress code at all times.  Students with a dress code violation will be asked to change and possibly call home if necessary. If you would like further information on the dress code, please visit the district website and review the student code of conduct document.

PERT:

The PERT is available for students interested in dual enrollment. Students must be in grades 10-12 and have an unweighted 3.0. The QR code to sign up is at the back desk with Mrs. Benke.

Yearbooks:

Yearbooks are now on sale at the regular price of only $65. Customize your book with a name stamp on the cover for an additional $8. Book prices will increase again at the first of the year, so secure yours soon with cash or checks made out to PHS with Mrs. Wallace in 16-509 or buy online at YearbookForever.com.

Night School:

Juniors and Seniors, if you need to make up part of a Math or English credit, please see your school counselor ASAP to sign up for Night School. Night school begins on Thursday, September 26 and is every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45-4:45.

Science Fair:

It is Science Fair Project time!! If your student is interested in being a part of this year’s Science Fair, please have them talk to their science teacher or the Science Fair Contact for PHS, Ms. Maddaloni in Rm 15-204, for information. The Regional Fair has a new name “Science and Engineering Showcase” and will be February 1st, 2020. Information flyers will be in each science classroom. Deadline for topic picking and approval is October 16th with Ms. Maddaloni. Please join the scientific method showcase and represent Pasco High School for awards, scholarships, and prizes.
