Picture Re-takes is October 5th.  If your student missed picture day, no worries, they will have another opportunity on this day.

As we enter the 7th week of quarter 1, please make sure you have taken some time to review your student’s progress.  The end of quarter one is October 12th.

C/O 2020 is having a Yankee Candle Fundraiser to raise funds for PROM 2019. Please see or email Mrs. Virgen if you would like to place an order.

Students, the Cambridge Ambassadors are accepting donations for homecoming attire. If you have any dresses, dress shirts, shoes, makeup and other accessories that’s school appropriate, you can donate them. Girls and guys clothing are needed. All donations can be brought to Mrs. Fernandez’s office. For each item donated a raffle ticket will be awarded for the chance to win a free homecoming ticket

NHS members, nominations are being accepted for officer positions. Please see Mrs. Fernandez to submit your nominations. Speeches and votes will be done at our next meeting scheduled for September 26th at 7am in the IRC.

Explore England, Ireland, and Wales with the Pirate Expeditions Club. Enrollments are open now for the spring break 2019 tour. See Ms. Reed in room 4-202 for details.

Just a reminder that Pasco County Schools have new safety procedures in place for all sporting events.  Only Clear plastic or vinyl bags will be permitted. Clear Ziploc bags also will be permitted.  Diaper bags and medically-necessary bags will be allowed.  No other bags of ANY kind will be permitted, including backpacks, fanny packs, purses and duffle bags.  All bags are subject to search.  No food or drinks will be allowed.

Parents and Students:  PLEASE make sure that you are arriving to school on time. The tardy bell rings at 7:25am.  Make sure you are here and headed to class by 7:20am.

Attention all students: Please make sure you have reviewed the school dress code and make sure your outfits are appropriate.  Remember that crop tops are NOT allowed and all shorts, dresses, and skirts must be at 6 inches above the knee or lower.

Parents:  If your student needs to be checked out of school, we cannot do this via a phone call.  It requires someone on the checkout list to be present and present their photo ID.

Pasco students and staff, do you have talent? The Cambridge Parent Association is sponsoring the first Pasco Highs Got Talent, Talent Show event. We are taking applications and video auditions starting September 23rd thru October 5th. Go to the Pasco High School website to sign up. Remember the deadline is October 5th!

Senior shirts will be distributed Monday-Wednesday in building 15 during lunches only. Be sure to wear your Senior shirt on Friday during our pep rally.

On October 10th, Seniors who have not passed the EOC Math or the ELA 10 graduation requirements will take the SAT in the morning. This test is being paid for by the district office. This is a tremendous opportunity for seniors to meet these graduation requirements. You do not need to sign up, but if you have any questions please contact Mr. Brady.

The PSAT will be offered on 10/10 at PHS during the school day. All sophomores will take this assessment for free. If your child is in 9th or 11th grade and would like to take the PSAT they can pay a $30 fee at the front desk to Mrs. Virtue to take the assessment from Monday 9/24 through Friday 10/5. The PSAT is used to help students judge how well they will perform on the SAT, or as a National Merit Scholar qualifying test.

Fundraiser opportunity for PHS, our annual Pirate’s vs Bulldog’s Drive 4UR School Community Event sponsored by Jarrett Ford is being held on Friday, October 26th from 9 am to 7 pm. Please stop by Jarrett Ford located on HWY 301 Bypass in Dade City, test drive a vehicle and enjoy a FREE Barbecue Dinner. Each test drive will earn PHS money for our school.

If students are interested in volunteering at the Spooktacular, October 26 & 27, stop by and see Ms. Edwards in the CRC.
